Everything you need to know about Bottle Hunt Ohio.

Bottle Hunt Ohio is a free, community-powered tool that helps bourbon hunters track exclusive and allocated spirits releases across all 577 OHLQ (Ohio state liquor) stores. We aggregate release schedules from ohlq.com, map every store location, and let hunters report real-time sightings to help each other out.

The site covers weekly OHLQ exclusives, Single Barrel Saturdays, bonus releases, and bottle lotteries — everything a hunter needs in one place. It was built by Ohio bourbon enthusiasts who got tired of checking multiple sources, refreshing the OHLQ site, and relying on scattered social media posts to figure out what dropped and where.

No. Bottle Hunt Ohio is an independent community project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to OHLQ in any way. OHLQ is operated by JobsOhio Beverage System on behalf of the Ohio Division of Liquor Control.

Product and pricing data displayed on Bottle Hunt Ohio is sourced from publicly available ohlq.com listings. OHLQ® is a registered trademark of the State of Ohio. We receive no funding, data feeds, or official support from OHLQ or any state agency.

There are two tiers of data on the site. Product catalog information, pricing, and release schedules come directly from ohlq.com and are refreshed regularly — this data is generally reliable. Delivery day estimates and bottle sightings, on the other hand, are community-reported and are only as accurate as what people submit.

Keep in mind that inventory moves fast, especially for allocated and exclusive products that can sell out within hours of delivery. A sighting means someone spotted a bottle at a specific time, but it doesn't guarantee it's still on the shelf. The more people report what they see, the more useful the data becomes for everyone — so please contribute when you can.

No account is required to browse. The full product catalog, store map, drop calendar, and community sightings are all available without logging in.

Creating a free account lets you report sightings, save favorite stores to your hunt list, track your reporting history, and — in the future — set up personalized alerts for specific products or stores. Account creation uses a secure email-based login, so there are no passwords to remember.

OHLQ Exclusives (sometimes called “Ohio-only”) are products created specifically for the Ohio market. Distilleries work with OHLQ to produce a unique bottling that won't be available in other states. These are marked with an “Exclusive” badge on Bottle Hunt Ohio.

Allocated products are limited-supply bottles distributed in small quantities across stores. They're available nationally, but Ohio only gets a limited allotment, making them hard to find. Both categories are what most hunters are actively seeking.

Examples of recurring exclusives include various Single Barrel Saturday picks, while allocated bottles include products like Buffalo Trace Antique Collection, Pappy Van Winkle, and Weller special releases.

Most OHLQ stores receive deliveries once a week, typically on a consistent day. Common delivery days are Tuesday through Thursday, but it varies by store and region.

The delivery day shown on each store's page on Bottle Hunt Ohio is based on community reports and may not always be current — schedules can shift due to holidays, weather, or distributor changes. Your best bet is to check the store's page here for the community-reported day, then confirm with your local store if you want to be sure.

Exclusive and allocated products usually arrive on the same day as regular deliveries but aren't always put on shelves immediately.

Tap “Report” in the navigation, select the store where you spotted the bottle, choose the product from the catalog, and submit. You can report without an account, but logging in lets you track your history and builds your reputation in the community.

Please only report bottles you've personally seen on the shelf — not rumors, social media posts, or what a store employee said might be coming. Accurate reports help other hunters make better decisions about where to go.

Email tim@timfulton.com with any bugs, feature ideas, or data corrections. For bugs, it helps to include what page you were on, what you were trying to do, and any error messages you saw.

We're a small community project and read every email. Feature requests that come up frequently get prioritized — the alerts system and store-level inventory tracking are both features shaped by community feedback.
