Privacy Policy

We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-LD996N00JL) to understand how people use the site. This collects information like which pages you visit, what device and browser you're using, your approximate location (city-level, not your exact address), and how you found us (search engine, direct link, social media, etc.).

We display ads through Google AdSense (publisher ID ca-pub-3518582454590880). AdSense uses cookies to serve ads that may be personalized based on your browsing activity across the web.

If you submit a community sighting report or delivery day report, we collect whatever information you choose to include. These submissions are voluntary and are used to help other bourbon hunters.

If you create an account, we collect your email address through Supabase Auth. If you contact us directly, we'll have whatever email address you use to reach us at tim@timfulton.com.

Analytics data helps us understand which features people use, where traffic comes from, and how we can improve the site. We use AdSense to display relevant ads, which helps keep Bottle Hunt Ohio free for everyone.

Community-submitted sighting and delivery day reports are displayed publicly on the site to help other hunters plan their trips. That is the core purpose of the site.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Period.

Google Analytics sets cookies (including _ga and _gid) to distinguish between visitors and track how you interact with the site. Google AdSense sets its own cookies to serve and personalize ads. If you're logged in, Supabase stores a session cookie to keep you authenticated.

You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. You can control ad personalization through Google Ad Settings. You can also disable cookies entirely in your browser settings, though this may affect site functionality.

Bottle Hunt Ohio relies on a handful of third-party services to operate. Each has its own privacy practices. Google Analytics and Google AdSense handle analytics and advertising. Supabase provides our database and authentication. Cloudflare handles CDN and hosting. We encourage you to review their privacy policies for details on how they handle data.

You can request deletion of your account and any data you've submitted by emailing tim@timfulton.com. You can opt out of analytics tracking and ad personalization at any time using the tools described in the Cookies section above.

If you're a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you additional rights regarding your personal information. For the record, we do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA.

Bottle Hunt Ohio is not directed at anyone under the age of 21. The site is about tracking bourbon and spirits releases, which are age-restricted products. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

Analytics data is retained according to Google's default retention policies. Community-submitted sighting and delivery day reports are retained indefinitely since they are the core content of the site. Account data is deleted upon request.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to check back occasionally, but we're not going to make any drastic changes without good reason.
